These Terms of Service govern your use of Budgetpeer, a manual budget tracking web application available at budgetpeer.com and app.budgetpeer.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Service Description
Budgetpeer is a web-based budget tracking application that allows users to manually track income, expenses, and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) installment payments. The app automatically splits BNPL payments across the months in which they are due.
Budgetpeer is available in two tiers:
Free: Full feature access with quantity limits (30 transactions/month, 2 BNPL plans, 1 budget, unlimited accounts, unlimited categories and subcategories).
Lifetime ($49 one-time): Unlimited access to all features with no quantity restrictions.
Account Terms
You must be at least 18 years old to use Budgetpeer.
You may create one account per email address.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must not share your login credentials with others.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Payment Terms
Free Tier: No payment required. The Free tier is available indefinitely.
Lifetime Plan: A one-time payment of $49 USD (or the current early bird price, if available) processed through Lemon Squeezy. This grants permanent, unlimited access to Budgetpeer, including all future updates.
Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record and handles all payment processing, tax collection, and compliance.
After purchase, you will receive a license key via email to activate your Lifetime plan within the app.
License keys are non-transferable and limited to one account activation.
Budgetpeer does not process or store credit card information.
Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on the Lifetime plan. If Budgetpeer does not meet your needs, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy.
After 30 days, refunds are granted at our discretion.
Data Ownership
You own all budget data that you enter into Budgetpeer. We do not claim any rights to your financial information.
You can export your transaction data as CSV at any time.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application.
Scrape, crawl, or data-mine the application or its infrastructure.
Share, sell, or transfer your license key to another person.
Use the service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts or data.
Use automated tools to access the service in a manner that exceeds normal usage patterns.
Intellectual Property
Budgetpeer, including its design, code, branding, and content, is the intellectual property of its creator. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the application without prior written permission.
Your budget data remains your property at all times.
Service Availability
We aim to keep Budgetpeer available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Budgetpeer is an independently operated product, and occasional downtime for maintenance or updates may occur.
We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or inconvenience resulting from service interruptions.
Limitation of Liability
Budgetpeer is a budget tracking tool and does not provide financial advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Budgetpeer and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Lifetime plan.
Termination
By you: You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently removes all your data.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and explain the reason.
If your account is terminated for a Terms of Service violation, you are not entitled to a refund.
Free Tier Limits
Free tier accounts are subject to the following limits:
30 manually added transactions per month (resets on the 1st of each month)
2 BNPL plans
1 budget
Unlimited accounts
Unlimited categories and subcategories
BNPL auto-generated installment transactions do not count toward the monthly transaction limit. These limits may be adjusted over time. We will communicate any changes clearly.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through a notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Continued use of Budgetpeer after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the service operator is based. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
